Hello
I hope this message finds you well. As we move through October I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving.
ARRESTS 1 x female arrested for recall to prison and 6 counts of shop theft 1 x male arrested for possession of an offensive weapon (Rambo style knife) and intent to supply drugs, his home was also searched and more drugs and 1 more weapon was seized 1 x male arrested for possession of an offensive weapon (ninja sword) and quantity of cannabis 1 x male arrested in Willenhall Memorial Park with a quantity of cannabis We attended a report of a drunken male in a vehicle, thank you to the member of public who called us. Male was arrested for being drunk in charge of a vehicle whilst intoxicated.
DRUGS 2 X Section 46 Firearm warrant was executed at 2 addresses; cannabis was seized from one of the properties. Officers have conducted 2 stop and searches, we were able to obtain cannabis, which has since been destroyed.
VEHICLES We have recovered 4 vehicles: A van that had been stolen and engine completely stripped out. A vehicle which was stolen 4 years ago in London, thank you to the member of public for reporting the damage to the vehicle, plus another 2 stolen vehicles.
ASB PATROLS
We are continuing to patrol ASB hotspots areas which include Willenhall Memorial Park, town centre and Gough Street. We are working with WHG to combat the issues in Gough Street and will be looking at issuing warning letters/ABC Contracts.
We have identified 4 youths who were banging on a resident’s door continuously and running off in Short Heath causing the resident’s significant distress. They have been advised about their behaviour.
We have continued to patrol in Willenhall Town Centre and are working with Walsall Council to obtain a PSPO (Public Space Protection Order) to tackle the drinkers in the town. Walsall Council have removed 2 benches that were mainly used by the drinkers as they are installing permanent market stalls.
Whilst on patrol we have come along 2 incidents where we were required to administer 1st aid whilst waiting for the Ambulance Service who were quick to respond.
UPCOMING EVENTS Police Surgeries ; 11/10/26 - Willenhall Gurdwara, Walsall Street between 12.00 and 13.00 20/10/26 – The Hive, New Invention Square between 09.30 to 10.30
The next PACT (Partners & Community Together) meeting will be held on Monday 2nd November 2026 between 6pm - 8pm at Queens Lea Community Centre in Queens Lea, Willenhall WV12 4JB.
Autumn Carnival at the Chart Centre, Gomer Street between 13.00 to 16.00.
